THE ROBERT RICKS LEGACY FOUNDATION
Was created in loving honor of Robert Ricks — a devoted family man remembered for his compassion, reliability, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to helping others.
Robert Ricks believed deeply in showing up for the people he loved. Whether it was taking family members to doctor appointments, helping someone during difficult times, offering encouragement, or simply being someone others could depend on, he lived a life rooted in service, family, and meaningful acts of care. He understood that sometimes the smallest gestures can have the greatest impact, and he consistently demonstrated love through action.
Inspired by his legacy, The Robert Ricks Legacy Foundation was established to continue the values he represented throughout his life: compassion, hard work, dependability, family support, and community care.
Our mission is to strengthen individuals, families, and communities through outreach initiatives, educational support, wellness advocacy, mentorship, and scholarship opportunities that create meaningful and lasting impact.
One of the foundation’s primary initiatives is supporting Black counseling students through scholarship opportunities and educational support. Many counseling students face financial hardship while completing unpaid internships, balancing family responsibilities, and pursuing careers dedicated to helping others. The foundation seeks to ease some of those burdens while encouraging the next generation of compassionate mental health professionals.
At its heart, The Robert Ricks Legacy Foundation exists to remind people that community matters, family matters, and showing up for others matters. Through every initiative, partnership, scholarship, and act of service, we strive to continue a legacy built on kindness, integrity, and helping others navigate life with dignity and support.
We believe true legacy is not only measured by what someone achieved for themselves, but by how they cared for others and the lives they impacted along the way.
Through this foundation, Robert Ricks’ legacy of compassion and service will continue to live on for generations to come.
